CAMEL, September 2014
For the second-last time does Karl Faustus von Aachen, tired and worn-out Crux Australis Principal Herald, apply ink to pen and pen to paper, bend his words to the service of the Kingdom and the College of Heralds, and bring good news to all.
The following splendid folk, whose submissions were made to Rocket Herald in approximately March of this year, had those same submissions considered by the Laurel King of Arms and his staff in July and, with not a single exception, were found to have played the game fairly and well:

Congratulations to you all! Rocket Herald will be in touch with the full comments of Laurel and his staff, all of which (I’ve read them) are complimentary. You’ve done very well indeed and made an old herald very glad. (Cough, cough, pass me my walking stick and ear trumpet.)
THE SUCCESSION
Something else that makes this herald glad is the news that Their Antipodean Majesties Niall and Liadan have joined Her Excellency the Kingdom Seneschal and His Excellency the new Laurel King of Arms in agreeing with me on a very important matter. I am thus pleased to commend to you all The Honourable Baron Domhnall na Moicheirghe, former Rocket Herald and current Baryl Herald, a man I am proud to call friend, as my successor as Crux Australis Principal Herald. I invite everyone who has an opinion on this appointment to contact the Kingdom Seneschal on seneschal@lochac.sca.org, CCing me if you wish on herald@lochac.sca.org, between now and the end of September. If no significant obstacles are encountered, I will then pass the office on at November Crown in Torlyon, and may God have merc— I mean, may he find this role as enjoyable as I have.
(No, seriously. It’s been fun! Honest! Don’t run away, Don!)
And with that, the clock ticks one minute closer to midnight, and I remain,
In service,
: Karl Faustus von Aachen, Crux Australis :
