Unto the Kingdom of Lochac, greetings.

This is my first monthly missive as Crux Australis. I have taken up the position but do not yet have the regalia, so please forgive my unfortunate state of dress. Meanwhile, if you know where the Crux Australis tabard is … please let me know. Last sighting in this treasure hunt was Festival this year.

I would like to thank my predecessor, Baron Domhnall na Moicheirghe, for his hard work and for taking on the role of Baryl Herald as a backup while I settle in.

I haven’t been in the role long, but I have had the pleasure of awarding some promotions in the College. At the Ynys Fawr Baronial Changeover, I promoted Drusticc inigena Eddarrnonn (current Dromond Herald) and Gunther Boese (former Canon Herald) to the personal rank of Herald. Congratulations to them both, well deserved … may you always wear your tabards straight!

Don’t forget, if you don’t have your name and device registered, the Kingdom currently pays the registration fee to the Society-wide College of Arms. Get that name registered! Then you can be unique in the Society. Heralds are here to help you navigate the rules on submission … just ask.
