Friends, heralds, countrymen, lend me your reports!

Reporting time is upon us again! By the 15th of November, I’d like to have heard from all the Baronial Heralds and Shire Pursuivants (who should have already heard from any Canton and College Pursuivants under them).

Reports from my branch heralds are important as they let me know what’s going on in the Kingdom, in all those parts of it I don’t hear of otherwise.

I’m also happy to hear from any other heralds in the Kingdom if there’s something they think I should have in my attention (now and in general)

One of this month’s registrations is Mangonel Herald, for the Kingdom. This will replace the temporary designation of Silent Herald for my deputy in charge of silent heraldry, that is to say sign language support for voice heraldry.

A mangonel is a type of catapult, in line with Lochac’s heraldic deputies being named for weapon-related things. A weapon which operates by the movement of an arm seemed appropriate.
