Unto the Kingdom of Lochac, greetings.

Name and device registration in the Kingdom of Lochac continues with good work by the Populace and the heralds who support them. This list comes from the November 2016 Letters of Acceptance and Return (LoAR). But wait, I hear some of you exclaim, it’s nearly Feburary! Correct, imaginary interlocutor. The decision was made at the Society level in November, but there are a couple of months for ‘proof-reading’ before the results are released back to the Kingdoms. Despite this, it is still the ‘November’ decisions. Why do I mention this? Understanding process is useful at times, because it can be hard to see the benefit of what looks like a tortured arrangement. This particular letter came out with a mistake – it had to be corrected and the LoAR sent out AGAIN the following day. Even with two months’ proofreading, mistakes happen. We want to be accurate – name and device registrations identify members of the populace throughout the Known World. We want to get it right!

So, without further preamble, here are the registrations that have come back successful for this month:

Basil Sulman. Name and device. Per bend sinister sable and Or, a needle and a hammer both bendwise sinister counterchanged.

Conciata Felice de la Cita di Lucha. Name and device. Per chevron sable and argent, three escarbuncles and a bordure embattled counterchanged.

Edgard Kala. Device. Argent, a sea-fox gules and a bordure vert semy of passion nails argent.

Giana della Mora. Device. Per pale sable and argent, two domestic cats sejant erect respectant counterchanged and a chief gules.

Heinrich Eberhart von Thorn. Name and device. Sable, a streitgabelklinge argent.

Ida Noe. Device. Per pale argent and sable, a duck naiant counterchanged azure and argent.

Luther von Sturmberg. Name and device. Vert, a griffin and a chief embattled argent.

Nayaga Xartsaga. Device. Sable, a crescent and on a chief Or three falcon’s legs erased à la cuisse jessed sable belled argent.

Thora the Black. Name and device. Purpure, three pawprints argent.

William Montrose. Badge. (Fieldless) A sheaf of five stalks of barley Or within and conjoined to an annulet of grapevine vert fructed gules.
