Unto the heralds and populace of the Kingdom of Lochac does Amanda Martel, Crux Australis Principal Herald, send greetings.

The timing of these missives continues to complicate my filing system, and so I present to you the Crux Australis Monthly Email Letter for April 2019 the Second (Heraldic Boogaloo).

Another Festival is come and gone, and a new year of the Society dawns. With that, and it being an odd numbered year on the mundane calendar, we come to the Lochac Heraldic Census!

All rostered heralds are required to report in the Census by the 15th of May, by completing the Roster Herald Details form on the College of Heralds website (https://herald.lochac.sca.org/forms/roster-details/).

This is the only reporting requirement for those heralds who don’t hold office. Failure to fill this minimal reporting requirement is grounds for removal from the roster (how else will we know when to remove inactive heralds?).

If you’ve filled out the form at any time after the 15th of February (that is, the 3 months previous to the reporting date), I will consider you to have reported in this census.

I’d like to thank everyone who helped make the heraldic workings of Rowany Festival work so well. There was plenty of work to go around, but you came together remarkably to get everything done.

Of special note is the Herald’s Consultation Point, which saw great business and will keep Rocket Herald busy with paperwork for longer than he may have bargained for. Registrations abound! I look forward to further forays into the idea, to keep Rocket on his toes.
