Unto the heralds and populace of the Kingdom of Lochac does Amanda Martel,
Crux Australis Principal Herald, send greetings.

I realise that these missives have been somewhat infrequent as of late,
but with everything going on, I also somewhat wonder if anyone noticed.
All is well, just a few lingering effects of things working their way
through various pipelines.

We are rapidly approaching the end of my tenure – I may only have just one
more of these to write. It’s been a fascinating journey over the past two
years as Crux Australis, and definitely not the tenure I thought I’d be
having when I stepped up.

I’d like to take this opportunity to thank all of the heralds throughout
the Kingdom for their work over the past two years. It’s not all gone as
planned, and tourney and court heralds have been given an unexpected break
from the work, but things tick on regardless in other spaces.

On the topic of the end of my tenure as Crux Australis Principal Herald, I
am pleased to announce that my successor to the role has been confirmed as
Baroness Annys Blodwell, currently serving as Coffyn Herald (my drop-dead
deputy).

The official transfer of the title is planned to take place in November,
however the handover process will be beginning forthwith to make sure
everything is ready to go when I pass into obscurity.
