Unto the heralds and populace of the Kingdom of Lochac does Amanda Martel, Crux Australis Principal Herald, send greetings.
I’d like to begin this letter by welcoming our new King and Queen, Niall and Sabine, long may they reign. I hope to serve them well, and may I never say anything in the Voice of the Crown that the Crown isn’t happy I’ve said (a good rule for us all to keep in mind).
After long searching, and the repeated interference of over-indulgent spam filters, I’ve found myself a volunteer for the role of Coffyn Herald. My thanks to her Excellency Annys Blodwell for agreeing to take on this role.
Coffyn Herald is my second-in-command (or 2IC), who I hope can keep me in line if I come up with any particularly ridiculous schemes, and takes over pro-tem in the event of my being run over by a black cat under a ladder. The role also incorporates the “special projects” role, which is a fascinating and varied task that can be very poorly defined, depending on what projects are afoot at any given time.
